Thinking out loud….Heat and Excitement!

IT’S THURSDAY!!!

That means……

Always a great way to clear my head and get a few thoughts out!

Thought #1: WHERE IS SPRING?!?!?

Damn it is hot as Hades in the DC area! Where the heck is Spring?!?!  It’s feels like 87 degrees and is humid as heck!!!   UGH!!!

Thought #2: IT’S GOING TO BE HOT ON SATURDAY

This came from Zooma: RACE DAY WEATHER: Saturday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 83 and a low of 68 with a 10% chance of rain, in other words H-O-T. Dammit!!! I do not do well in hot weather running….note to self no late May races in the future.

Thought #3: I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT MY HALF ON SATURDAY

Another half on deck and I am getting butterflies in my stomach and having a hard time sleeping due to my excitement.  I think despite the heat, the atmosphere and scenery is going to be awesome.

Thought #4: TONIGHT’S EVENT

I am going to a Tales from Another Mother Runner Book Party tonight at the local Fleet Feet in my area.  On top of that, I meeting up with a few of the mother runners from my MRTT group.  I am excited about both!

Thought #5- SWEAT PINK

On Tuesday, I got an email from Fit Approach, welcoming me to the Sweat Pink Community as an Ambassador!  I had applied months ago and just assumed that I did not get selected.  What a nice surprise and honor!  Being a part of a fit and healthy community of like minded individuals is wonderful and I am excited to be a part of the team!
