Ultimate Coffe Date-March 2016

It’s the 1st Saturday of  the month and I am on time for coffee today with you all, Coco at Running With Perseverance, Deborah at Confessions Of A Mother Runner, and Lynda at Fitness Mom Wine Country at their Ultimate Coffee Date!

Ultimate-Coffee-Date-Badge-e1416682466503

I hope you stop by and join us!

I am enjoying a cup of  Salted Caramel coffee…nice, warm and delicious!

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that although beautiful, I am hoping last night’s snow showers was winter saying good-bye.

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that I am tired of talking about my arthritis in my knee but it won’t let me.  The chronic pain is SERIOUS and freaking annoying.  I am going to contact a sports PT next week to see what options may be available because this is ridiculous!

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that I am super excited about transitioning into multi-sporting.  I have officially signed up for the Savage Man 20.0 Triathlon…whoohooo!!!

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that I passed my swim class from the Winter session and today (Saturday), I am taking my first class of Adult Swim 3!

If we were having coffee, I would let you know (I think I shared this before) that I have NO IDEA about the cost of bikes!!! JESUS!! I am looking for a entry level bike that I can upgrade as I go along before dropping some real cash on a real Tri-bike.

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that my daughter just finished another session in gymnastics and she is doing so well.  In less than a year, she has gone from a recreational gymnast to being one session away from pre-team!! I am so proud of her!

If we’re having coffee, I would tell you, I knew this would happen!

blackberry priv

I knew if I held out just a little bit longer Verizon would come out with the new Blackberry! I gave my husband my upgrade so now if I actually wanted the Priv, I couldn’t even get it right now! I am going to go into the store and play with it though and just feel the keyboard (lol!).

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that for the life of me, I DO NOT need anymore workout clothes (says no-one ever!), but when Influentser sent me. 40% coupon to try one of the new C9 Sports Bras (more on that later)…well I had to get one

target top

Isn’t she pretty?

and I may have picked up a pair of shorts for under $6.

target shorts

You know you would have picked these up too!

Truthfully though, I do need sports bras and shorts….no really I do….don’t look at me like that!!

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that, I am really excited for the Team Luna Chix DC retreat in a few weeks. Not only for the break but to get to spend some time planning an awesome running year and to get to know all the ladies. We will be in Charlottesville for the weekend.

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that later this month my blog turns 1…..how is that possible!

Well, I am enjoying the last drop of this yummy coffee. As always, I so enjoy chatting with you. I feel like I have done all of the talking though.

Tell me what’s going on with you! What are you drinking today? Tea or coffee?

Congrats to your little sweetie! Sounds like she’s a natural-born gymnast! I’m right there with you on not needing any new running/workout stuff. But there’s SO much cute stuff out there!

I could so do coffee with you friend! I hate your haveing problems with your knee, I know how aggravating it can be, just get well already I keep telling mine. I have a friend that tri’s omg and the amount of money she talks about those good bikes. I could drive a car for less but you almost have to have a good bike, ya know! Maybe you’ll luck up and someone is upgrading.

Tamieka, your daughter is adorable and by the look on her face … loves gymnastics. I love finding deals at target and those red labels always tell me to purchase because you can’t beat the price. Maybe I need to go running bra shopping to inspire my run again, I am missing it so much. Thank you for the coffee date today, have a fabulous weekend.

Your snow pic is lovely! It’s been a bizarre winter in Kansas City and we’ve been basically devoid of snow so I actually kind of miss it. Target is so my jam for clearance stuff and I am a big fan of the C9 products too. I haven’t ever bought anything from that line that hasn’t performed just as well as I thought it would or should.

      Sorry for the late reply…

I think winter/sno has moved on…I hope so…after the blizzard of 2016 in January..I am over the full blown snow!

I actually have a few things from the C9 collection and enjoy it. I like the price for sure!

Yeah, I had a little sticker shock when I bought my Trek Lexa SL last fall. But honestly, I got every penny out of that bike. It saved my from going nutty with my stress fracture and it kept my marathon ready. I’d do it all again! Bikes last a long time too, so you’ll get your money’s worth. You are doing great with your swim lessons!

A retreat sounds like such fun!

    I hope PT can help.

Seriously, we all need more fitness clothes. End of story. I definitely do need some new bras, mine are a few years old, but luckily I’m small so I can get away with it.

We did not get any snow. How weird is that? I am very happy to let you guys have all the snow, though.

      Sorry for the late reply…..

I am looking forward to the retreat!! We were able to secure a house instead of hotel rooms and I think that will be so much fun.

Nope..you can take back all the snow!!!

It is suppose to be in the 70s today and I am looking forward to that 😉

So sorry about your knee I hope you get that figured out soon. Transitioning to multi sport takes a lot of pressure off of your knee with less running. Bikes can be really expensive. I have a road bike not a tri bike and I think that’s a great place to start. Your daughter is so cute! Thanks for joining us for coffee!

      thanks…it sucks ;(

Girl! The sticker shock on these bikes are CRAZY!!! I am going to go with a road bike for now as I make the transition.

My knee will thank me I am sure 😉

      thanks…she is a cutie isn’t she 😉
