When I saw Wednesday’s word, at first I was going to skip linking up because for the life of me all I could think of was the things that I am fearful/afraid of. I am not usually a fearful person but I do have fearful thoughts and worries.
Then I saw this quote and I had a total mind change and the thoughts for Wednesday Word came flowing in.
BEING FEARLESS ISN’T BEING 100% NOT FEARFUL, IT’S BEING TERRIFIED BUT YOU JUMP IN ANYWAY……
Professionally, in 2013 I was burnt out as a Special Education School Director and was beginning to look for a less stressful and demanding job. I had been at my school for 15 years starting as a Teacher’s Aide and earning my way to the Director position.
After, my mother suffered a massive heart attack, the decision to leave my position was made for me as I would become my mother’s primary care-taker during her recovery.
I was 100% fearful of this new role, my new full-time job and my ability to do it well. My mother’s life was literally in my hands but I jumped in anyway and the fear lifted and I became the fearless caretaker who all the Drs./Nurses and providers feared and respected.
Personally, I was officially unemployed for nearly a year and I was 100% fearful of how this was financially straining on my family but I jumped in fearless with my faith in God and with financial support from friends and family and have made it through truly humbled!
My most recent fearful to fearless act has been blogging. Blogging, literally puts you on the WORLD WIDE WEB……which means the WORLD (do you know how big that is?) has access to my words, my thoughts and my posts. I have to admit, I was 100% fearful of hitting the Publish button for the 1st time but I jumped right into it and have become fearless in my words, my thoughts and my posts. My posts are the clearing of my thoughts, in my voice on my blog. I do hope that people want to read my post but I am fearless as to how they feel about it (in the sense that I won’t limit what I have to say).
OMG, how could I forget the most fearful to fearless act of signing up for a Sprint Triathlon in the Fall. I am still 100% fearful of transitioning to a triathlete but as my girlfriend’s mom always says….if you gonna do it then do it!!! So I have jumped right in, signed up and will beginning pre- training at the end of this month and full training at the end of June! I haven’t gotten to the fearless side of this yet but I know I will.
Thank you Deb for today’s Wednesday Word and allowing me to go from fearful to fearless!
Have you ever gone from FEARFUL to FEARLESS?
Today’s word: FEARLESS
Don’t forget to join me, Lex and Sarah this Thursday (tomorrow) for Thursday Throwdown!
This month’s Theme: Motivation
May 5 – May Mantra What do you use as a mantra to keep yourself motivated?
May 19 – May Motivators Who motivates you? Have you read anything motivational?
“BEING FEARLESS ISN’T BEING 100% NOT FEARFUL, IT’S BEING TERRIFIED BUT YOU JUMP IN ANYWAY……” I love this, and it is the best quote that I’ve seen anyone inthe linkup use.
Thanks for linking up!

You don’t consider yourself fearless? You, who gets out on the field and kicks buttocks? Well, a lot of us see you as fearless LOL I look forward to following your journey to the tri finish line. I’m not fearful of water per se, but I do NOT like water getting all in my face…and surrounded by a bunch of arms, legs, BODIES flailing about in open water would put me into a major panic attack….so, I’ll gladly sit back and be your cheerleader 😉

Ha!!! I never even thought about the football thing…isn’t that crazy. It is so much a part of what I do that I guess on the outside I can see how that it is pretty fearless…thanks for the reminder!

Obviously I had my words mixed up; I’ll tackle fearless next week. I like having to think about it and you came up with a great post here!
I have blogged before, I’ve been sharing my thoughts on the Internet for years, so that part was easy for me. I have a fairly thick skin online, too; not that I won’t say I occasionally get annoyed at a poster or post.
I’m not sure I’ll be able to get a Thursday Throwdown post out tomorrow . . . I’m gonna try! I do love mantras, so I’d like to share some, it all comes down to time.

I look forward to your fearless post 😉
If you are able to of course we would love to see you on the link up tomorrow. If not, we will see you next time. Thanks in advance!

I would really love to have joined in this week, but just could’t make it happen!
And that’s assuming I get to fearless next week, although I have some stuff to say — unfortunately I guess I was off a week when I wrote down the words on my calendar, so I the one I mostly wrote for next week is the wrong one –again!
