WW-Full of Gratitude

Well hello there friends!  How is everyone doing?

Sorry for the in and out of the blogoshpere but every time I think I am back in the swing, something happens and I lose momentum.

So here I am again, restarting and working towards blogging at least 3 times a week.  We will see how it goes.

I love restarting blogging on a Wednesday because that means, I get to join Deb and other bloggers as we interpret Wednesday’s Word.  This week’s Wednesday’s word is perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday and a good reminder to me of what to be Thankful and full of Gratitude for.

Today’s word: GRATITUDE

Grat·i·tude

noun

  1. the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

gratitude

I am going to come at this like I have done with my spotlight days with Kristy’s Blog Hop. It really allows me to speak to what is important to me while bringing in my and to my blogger identity.

FIT:

I am Grateful to be getting back into the swing of working out and off season Triathlon training.  A few posts ago I shared with you the struggles I was having with getting back on track with working out and eating better. During our November Coffee Date, I shared with you my selection in to the Tri Equal training program and that has helped me significantly to get back on track and to have someone to hold me accountable. I am so grateful for this oppurtunity and really enjoying so far! Now if I can just get my eating under control….everything would be great!!! Speaking of eating ….I swear I am pregnant (I AM NOT!!) but I would swear I am with the amount of eating (not all goos) that I am doing.  My eating habits are negating my work out efforts and I need to get it together . I am strongly considering doing a round of whole 30 for December…we will see.

Balling:

I am full of Gratitude for my football family! I have not been able to play with my team as much this season due to the fact that we switched leagues and many of the games ended up being on Saturdays with conflicted with my daughter’s gymnastics practice.  Of the 8 or 9 games we played this season, I have played 2 this season.  On Saturday, we had playoffs-1 semi final game and then Championships. After my daughter finished gymnastics, we hopped in the car and drove 2 hrs to be there for the Championship.  I dressed to play but had no real intention of playing as I had not played all season really.  Once arriving, they welcomed me with open arms and looked for my veteran leadership to support the team to a Championship.  I literally played 2 plays (I got hit in the head and got pulled out) but was able to cheer and support my team to another Championship!!! We went undefeated this season and hope to take that momentum into January when we travel to Nationals.

Running:

This year I have significantly reduced my running due to my arthritis. I made a decision to not get any cortizone shots this year to be able to feel the pain of the arthritis and to allow me to make better running decisions.  I am full of GRATITUDE for listening to my body and doing what is right for my leg/knee that still allows me to run.  So far this year my longest run has been a 15k but most often I have run 5ks and 10ks including my track workouts. Although I am having some pain in my knee, I am full of GRATITUDE to be able to manage and tolerate the pain and still enjoy running.

Mom:

What can I say….you all know how I feel about my babies.  I am so full of GRATITUDE everyday that God chose me to be these Angels mom.  Everyday that teach me how to be a better person and to make this world better for them! How can I love them so much?!?  My heart is so full for them.

Additionally, I am full of GRATITUDE to my friends and family! I don’t know where I would be without them……I am so GRATEFUL!!

My life is good and I am full of GRATITUDE everyday for it!!

What are you GRATEFUL for these days?

I would love to stay connected:

This is a grate post. Indeed you have so much to be grateful for. I didn’t realize that you had arthritis. Sorry to read that, but I completely understand about wanting to listen to your body. I felt my eating was out of control this year and I have been working with amandatress.com for her Faster Way to Fat Loss. I am on my 3rd program since August and have seen amazing results. I feel so much more in control of my eating now. Her next program starts in January, but check it out !
    Happy thanksgiving to you.

Good luck in those championships & I hope you’re ok!

That’s great that you can still run the shorter distances (not that 15k is short). You’re a speedy gal, so I think they suit you.

Since I’ve been fighting a cold this week, I actually haven’t been super hungry. I have a feeling December & January will be a real challenge!

Happy Thanksgiving, Tamieka, enjoy that time with family!

I am grateful for blogging friends like you! I didn’t realize you had cut back running due to arthritis. I’m glad you can still enjoy running! I swear as soon as I decide to get back to eat better my appetite goes into overdrive. You’ll figure it out!
