It’s a Saturday Trifecta…..Soleful Saturday with a little Coffee and Runfessions

Happy Saturday all!

I am using the WP app, I apologize for any funkiness that in presentation……

Joining together Soleful Saturday with Runfessions and Ultimate Coffee Date.

By time you are reading this, I will probably be running the Philly Hot Chocolate 5k or have finished.

So if you don’t mind instead of coffee, I would love to enjoy some Hot Chocolate with you while I Runfess a few things.

If we were having Hot Chocolate, I would runfess, that I wish I would have been able to train to run the 15k. Since training for my triathlon at the end of April, increased mileage was not in the books. Maybe next year.

If we were having Hot Chocolate, I would runfess, that I want to race this race but not really sure how that will turn out. I have not raced a race in so long that I am not sure how that will turn out.

If we were having Hot Chocolate, I would runfess, that my 1st goal is to run a 27 min race with a 2nd goal of finishing under 30 min.

If we were having Hot Chocolate, I would runfess, that I am so sad that I gave up sweets for Lent and would take be able to enjoy the fondue at the end of the race…..God knows my heart though….maybe I could just have a little taste.

If we were having Hot Chocolate, I would runfess, that I am looking forward to a yummy cheese steak later today.  When in Philly….

i had a Philly-style cheese steak this weekend too. Mine came from Coney Island though. I went there with the kids from church for a field trip to the aquarium.
I hope you had a great run and all the best with triathlon training.

Oh man, I hope you take just a taste. Running a Hot Chocolate race and not partaking would be sinful! :p
I totally relate to what you said about tri training conflicting with running longer. I’ve struggled with the same thing and have decided to shift focus to half training and let the chips fall where they may at my tri. I feel like there’s enough tri “hay in the barn” anyway. We’ll see about that. Thanks for linking up!

Hot chocolate definitely sounds like a nice idea right now! It was warm earlier but definitely didn’t take its time with cooling down this evening! Best of luck to you on your race!

Well, if the Pope can grant an exception for St. Patrick’s Day, I’m sure having some chocolate after the race would be OK. It’s really your feelings about making that exception that you’d have to live with! 😉

Enjoy the Hot Chocolate 5K! I am supposed to be running the Minneapolis Hot Choclolate 15K on April 15th but I think I will switch to the 5K. The race is along the Mississippi river which is really hilly and I am not trained for that. All my winter running was on a treadmill. I hope you enjoyed the race!
